What is a featured artist?
A Vista Galleries featured artist is an artist that has been selected to write an article showcasing their work in the Vista Galleries blog. The articles that our featured artist write may be a sample of their work, an example of their design inspiration, or anything else to do with art, especially in the Tampa Bay area.
Who should apply?
We are looking for all types of artists including, but limited to the following: photographers, designers, decorators, painters…
Featured artist perks:
Exposure
Probably the most obvious and best perks of writing a guest article for our blog is exposure. Extend past your current of circles to the Vista Galleries fan base. In addition to direct traffic on the Vista Galleries blog, your article will also receive exposure across our social media platforms and through our email campaign.
Featured Artist Badge
We also offer a special badge for our featured artists to display on their personal website. This badge gives credibility to you as an artist and is a sign of recognition.
Gift Certificate
As an artist you may find yourself in need of our framing or art services, as an incentive and token of our appreciation we offer gift certificates to our artists for each article they write.
Featured artist criteria:
To ensure high quality content on the Vista Galleries blog, we are looking for the following criteria.
Good Communication Skills
Probably the most important criteria is that our artists have good communication skills. The artist should have experience writing content related to art.Industry Professional
While it is not necessary to be a full-time artist, we want to ensure that our artists have developed their skills into a more cultivated talent. We would like to see some indications that our artists have achieved this before allowing them to create an article. Some of the indications we would like to see include, but are not limited to: website, social media profiles, photos…
Vista Galleries article criteria:
We want our blog to be relevant to our local community and engaging. To accomplish this, all articles must achieve the following criteria:
Visually Engaging
Art is a visual medium, thus it makes sense that the Vista Galleries blog should also be visually appealing. All posts must have a visual element to them, at least one photo or video.Relate to the art community in Tampa
The articles must somehow tie back into the art community in Tampa. While we want these articles to showcase the featured artists, the articles can’t be a sales pitch for the featured artists business. It must capture the interest of the local community.We realize this criteria is more abstract than the others, but the basic guideline is that we don’t want our articles to be sales pitches.
